Anonymous asked: Why do some fans think Yunho and Changmin were not close before the split?

Because their interaction is not nearly as exposed as some of the others. In AADBSK3 both Jung and Shim remarked that many of their moments are cut from broadcasts and that they aren’t the type of people who flaunts their closeness in public anyways.

Jung consistently (in AADBSK2 and AADBSK3) call Shim his ‘best friend’ and even though he is younger, he is the person Jung goes to for advice. There’s also a very touching moment (I can’t find the vid now since I am at work) during a radio show where Jung said that because he’s older he cannot show his appreciation (like saying thank you) freely, so he wanted to take that moment to thank the magnae.

For me, even if they were not that close before the split, why does that matter? YunJae was extremely close (and highly exposed, too) before the lawsuit, but yet they didn’t choose to stay together in the end. A relationship between two people last only as long as they work for it.

The fact that Jung and Shim stayed together, taking the hard road of ‘redefining’ TVXQ should tell people how ‘committed’ they are to each other. Don’t worry too much about what other fans think, because in the end, we are not them ^__^

Anonymous asked: M, bagamana pendapatmu tentang fans TVXQ tapi berencana nonton konser Xiah atau dibiografi twiter menyebutkan dirinya fans TVXQ tapi me-RT info tentang JYJ. apakah ini gambaran yang sering disebut OT5?

Xia (g pake H) kaliiiiii? hahahahah, just kidding

Aku sih secara pribadi ngga liat masalahnya nonton konser Xia, atau RT info JYJ. Menurutku itu ga ada bedanya sama TVXQ fan retweet info tentang EXO atau nonton konser SuJu.

It’s just another kpop band for me.

Anonymous asked: You said Lee Soo Man is not CEO anymore and has no control, but he does.He created EXO and called them M1 and M2, and will continue doing that for other groups he wants.

When have I said he has no control?

And in my last post I stressed:

Like I said, he is still the key figure of SM entertainment, but his position in the management is not legally or officially recognized as someone who could steer the company. Kim Youngmin did say in an interview that if Lee Sooman wasn’t satisfied with something, they will do everything all over again. But whether it is in term of production of work or business expansion, they never said.

Informally, yes, because he is the one who founded the company, and is still the number one figure in terms of creative decision, he is very influential. I believe he calls the shot when it comes to the creative and artistic aspect of SMentertainment, but that doesn’t mean he calls the shot for everything.

Creating EXO, naming groups, producing albums, giving approval for performances, for me, is considered the CREATIVE side of things. As a business, SMentertainment is more than just creating groups and releasing albums.

It involves negotiation of endorsement deals, managing artists’ time to go to TV shows, paying the salary, expanding to other businesses, making deals with partners and suppliers, and I personally don’t think LSM deals with EVERYTHING in how the company is run.

Is SM in a very powerful position in SM entertainment? I would think so.

Does KYM as the CEO reports to LSM? Most likely.

Is he the sole decision maker in the company? Arguable.

My answer to the original OP was to explain the difference in the position between LSM and KYM in terms of a formal organizational structure at SM entertainment. How the dynamics really work in the company is not something fans could ever know for sure considering we don’t actually work with the company, and that’s that.

Ten Things To Do When You Feel Like Crap:
1. Have a really hot, long shower. Cry if you need to. Sit on the ground. Feel sorry for yourself. Let the steam soak into your skin. Let the hot water wash your face clean. But the moment you turn off that water, you are done feeling sorry for yourself. Make a decision to move on from that sadness.
2. Clean. I know, cleaning is boring and annoying - but how about that feeling you get when you are finished? The smell of the vacuum. That feeling of accomplishment? Who knows, you might even find money along the way. Totally worth it. It’s like starting with a clean slate.
3. Call a friend you haven’t spoken to for a while. If your first choice doesn’t pick up, choose someone else. Ask them all about how their lives are going and tell them about yours. Not only will it take your mind off whatever crappy thing you have been plagued by, but you will laugh with them! Laughing triggers endorphins and endorphins make you happy!
4. Go for a run or a walk. This get’s your endorphins and dopamine going crazy. You will get more energy and more happiness just because the chemicals in your body are running around!
5. Stop and take it all in. Walking in the night? Stop and look at the stars. Breathe in the cold air. Feel alive.
6. Stop whining. Ever heard the saying “love life and life will love you back”? Or, the idea of the power of attraction? It’s true! If you sit around saying “why me, waaaaa waaaa” then bad things will happen to you. You’re already defeated. If you start saying, “I will be happy, I will accomplish my ambitions, I will find love, I do look amazing, I am a great friend” etc., then not only will you start to believe them but you will be amazed at what amazing things start to happen.
7. Drink tea. This always works. Not a tea fan? Try hot water with a slice of lemon and some agave syrup.
8. Make a conscious decision to stop holding certain grudges. We all have people we have held grudges on in the past. Let them go. If you feel like you owe this person an apology, don’t be too proud. Send them a sincere facebook apology. Sincerity is in the intent, so even if it’s a 2 sentence apology - as long as you mean it it’s worth it.
9. Cook some really nice, warm food. Stimulate your taste buds with anything as simple as two minute noodles or as lavish as a three course garlic bread, pasta bake, chocolate mousse triple combo.
10. Write down a list of goals to achieve for the week. As simple as “buy insect repellent” or as large as “jog for 25 minutes non stop” and tick them off when they’re done. You will feel very accomplished and that alone will help pep up your mood!

Anonymous asked: Do you like any rock bands?

Does 30 Seconds to Mars count as rock bands, or still alternative? hahahaah

I like songs here and there, but never consider myself a ‘fan’ like I do 30 seconds to Mars.

Anonymous asked: i never said that everyone is powerless and has to nod their head to his every whim. u dont have to nod ur head to everything ur boss says just becz he says it. however, if u were to read into his history and watch his documentary u will see that hes much more than just a father figure and a founder of a company. hes made most of the main decision in the company including coming up with TVXQ's concepts and names (yunho himself admitted that the members didnt like the name TVXQ but went along

with it becz it was LSM who chose it. other groups had the same thing happen to them). btw im not trying to attack the man when i say that his words are still the most impo in the company. i actually have a lot of respect for this man, but i feel like ur explanation of his real position is too weak. JYP is not the CEO of JYPent but he still has the biggest say in its major decisions. the CEO won’t ever be able to do something that LSM doesnt approve of, becz LSM is still the president of SM

Like I said, he is still the key figure of SM entertainment, but his position in the management is not legally or officially recognized as someone who could steer the company. Kim Youngmin did say in an interview that if Lee Sooman wasn’t satisfied with something, they will do everything all over again. I believe he calls the shot when it comes to the creative and artistic aspect of SMentertainment, but that doesn’t mean he calls the shot for everything.

Like other informal leadership, it is really hard to prove because there is no legal or structural power to it.

I answered the first anon according to the original division of authority based on the company’s hierarchy, not based on what I assume to be going on in the company.

I think we both have similar idea to what LSM’s role is, we just say it differently, hehehehe

Anonymous asked: just want to point out that Lee soo man is also the highest shareholder of the company and is considered the president of SMent. he doesnt manage SM on day to day basis but updates on SM's business have to be given to him and the CEO needs LSM's approval before making any drastic decisions concerning SM. at the moment LSM is the one behind all the major planning that goes on regarding SMent global expansion. the CEO is actually powerless next to LSM himself

You do know that even though SM is the highest share owner, his shares is only around 25%, don’t you?

In a public owned company, you need a majority of shareholder vote to ‘control’ the company, and LSM is about 26% away from being that powerful to be able to single handedly run the company any way he wants.

Do I think LSM still have a very strong influence in SM entertainment? Of course, the man founded the company, and he is still considered the key figure. He’s like the father figure to almost EVERYONE in the company, and they all speak of him in a very respectful manner.

Do I think that everyone else in the company is powerless and have no other choice than to nod their heads at his every whim? No.

There’s a big difference between respecting someone enough to follow his direction and being powerless to their personal fancy. Your explanation make it seem like the company have no choice in following LSM’s decision, I say they CHOOSE to follow his vision.

And that’s that…

Anonymous asked: TQ, especially by defining the terms. To go into depth with that terms (the links), got me O_O (maybe you have the same reaction to scientific terms). They are basic, but if you can't understand, you'd make a huge mess. So even not all, I get the idea and make my own analogy. The sales to net profit to what received by SM artists go through many process. Like development of drugs. You have to do drug screening, then pre-clinical studies (in-vitro, animal test), to clinical testing (3 phases), to

marketing (phase 4), although may differ with drugs used in-life threatening diseases. It can take up to 10-20 yrs. Even after available, it continued to be monitored for adverse drug reactions due to individual’s susceptibility. If the body is ok, the drug will work, otherwise not. Just like the money, if the artist knows how to manage well, then it would be enough. If not, the money will never be. People expect artists would get lot because they ‘work hard’ is like public asking for new drugs, you want the drug, you can just market and give to patients, not knowing how much it takes (money, effort, time) to produce one, not to mention the effectiveness. Yeah, artists can get a lot because of hardwork, but people should not be forgetting those who work behind closed doors, because without them, you won’t get the products (albums, concerts, goods, etc). Instead of yapping how SM mistreat them, fans should be grateful they are well and comfortable. And do the best to support them more =)

That is one scientific approach to it, hahahaha…

I personally don’t get the rationalization that when you work hard, then you must be paid a lot. A construction worker in Indonesia probably work harder in terms of physical labors than most idols, and they get paid, way, way less than an idol.

Fans only sees their performance, they don’t see what goes on behind the scene and truly they are missing the big picture because they are strongly biased to the idol. Yes, idols make a lot of money in the industry, but one question fans never ask is HOW MUCH A COMPANY HAVE TO SPEND ON THEM ON THE FIRST PLACE.

To any kpop fans screaming their biases not getting paid fairly, all I can say is: HOW DO YOU KNOW AND WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE THAT?

Jung and Shim never said they were cheated out of their rightful income. They never complain about their percentage of the profit, so for me personally, there’s really nothing to complain about ^___^

Anonymous asked: Have you ever met a Cassie who would like for them to reunite, but doesn't vomit 'AKTF', and still supports them both as TVXQ and JYJ?

Haven’t met them personally, but some people I know on twitter do admit to this… True or not, only their behavior can tell ^___^

Anonymous asked: hey i'm really confused about something. can you please explain to me the difference between lee soo man role in sm and kim young min ?

Kim Young Min is the CEO of SM Entertainment. It means that he is sitting on top of the management when it comes to SM’s day to day business. He is the executive chief, so when it comes to decision making that influences SM as a company, he would be the one calling the shots. Along with the rest of the management, they steer the business’ direction and take the responsibility to answer to the shareholders.

Lee Soo Man is the one who found SM, and I don’t think he’s ever been the CEO of SM. He’s the representative figure of SM Entertainment, even if he doesn’t hold a formal position in the company anymore. Even so, he cannot legally make decisions or deals on behalf of SM, since the shareholders (including himself, btw) appointed KYM and other members of the BoD to do that. So far, Lee Soo Man is known mainly for producing songs and the more ‘creative’ side of the operation.

I am certain LSM is still well respected and his opinion held in a very high regard in the company, but he isn’t the one making executive decisions, that job belongs to KYM.
